Colorful Interior Design For Kids Room

Every house has its own flow and personality. Designers and architects try to blend all in one, but different rooms have different approaches, according to whoever its inhabitant is. The kids' rooms for example need to have a decor that reflects their age. An added degree of safety and friendliness is a must in these cases. That's why you must orient to friendly shapes and vivid color when you decide to decorate a child's room.
Be careful not to rainbow the entire room. Choose 2 - 3 colors to focus on, but use them in an intelligent way. Be wise in associating decorations as well. A rug can complete the refreshing scenery of a yellow-blue-and-orange room.
Stick to the classical recipe and combine white door frames and windows with turquoise walls. Add a friendly feel with a cozy rug. Work on the smaller details, on the nightstand or bed. It will add that extra contrast you search for.

Indoor Gardening Design Ideas For Your Home

A very special style of cultivating your garden can be a conservatory or indoor garden, which is a type of garden that is grown indoors, usually in a special place created in the corner of your room.
These gardens are specific for colder regions, which do not offer conditions for having an outdoor garden, so you can adapt it to the closed area of your residence, or, in specially prepared environments.
This model is ideal for gardens which are also cultivated in apartments which do not have outdoor space for this, so it's easier to stay in touch with nature even between four walls.
This garden can be placed in a small space, but the ideal for this would be a larger space where the plants can be placed between banks and sitting places, so this will make it possible for family members or friends to spend quiet moments together in “nature”.
But when creating such a garden in your home, it is important to be aware of the space available to you, so your plants and furniture can be arranged in a way to merge well with the space and design you already have and to not make the space available to you even smaller and tighter as it can be uncomfortable.

Modern and Rustic Kitchen Decor by Sara Gilbane

We found this next cute kitchen on the internet and we thought we should share it with you as it has a very cozy feel and we’re sure you’re going to like it too. The kitchen was designed by Sara GilbaneThis kitchen has both a very modern and a rustic air. The modern, black, sober furniture, in contrast with the white and blue table, clearly delineates the cooking area where meals are served. The white walls make the room appear larger and brighter. What pops out at first look is how the bright blue color merges with the white from the walls. It is a bold choice and reflects a very good taste. You will also notice the skillfully painted blue plates, both on the table as well as on the walls. Decorate with plants to give a more natural feel to the whole ensemble.

DIY Chalkboard Mug

Ever had a party and didn’t know which mug belongs to who? Or when at the office someone always takes your mug and you are forced to use someone else’s too? If yes, then you are going to love this next project, which a personalized chalkboard mug. This way you will be able to right your name on the mug, so no one else takes it. You will need: a mug, sandpaper, tape, plastic bag, Rust-Oleum chalkboard paint, rubber gloves.
Start with taking the tape and place it around the surface you want to spray paint. You can make shapes or any other decorations you want. Take the sandpaper and sand the surface you want to paint, but be gentle as you only need to sand it lightly. Place the plastic bag on the inside of the mug, in case you overpaint. Go on the balcony or outside and spray over the area, then turn your mug and leave it to dry for a day. The last step is to get creative with the chalk and write a little message on the mug. You can even surprise your loved one by writing a sweet message on the mug and prepare him/her a coffee afterwards.

Vertical Pallet Gardens

Vertical Pallet Gardens. How to turn a pallet into a vertical garden. First, you have to choose a pallet that is in the best possible condition. Then you will choose the part of the pallet that you want to be seen (the most finished one). The other side shall be covered with material or jute bags, or anything else you consider necessary to cover the empty spaces. Now you have to fill the pallet with soil and plants. Choose the plants that you most like to watch. You can make some amazing combinations, since some aromatic plants wouldn’t hurt on the building balcony. Everything needs to be watered as for the first time. Then, you shouldn’t immediately raise the pallet upright; it needs to be left aside for a while until plants are stabilized. Ideally, 2-3 weeks, even less, should be enough. Afterwards, what remains to be done is to raise the pallet close to the wall and your small garden will be ready.

DIY Pop Bottle Flowers

Bottles can have a more ecological role than we can think of at first. We often find that plastic bottles lying around the ground are an insult to nature, but they can be used in a positive way: by making them into flowers. First of all, make sure you have:
• pop plastic bottle (plain or colored, according to what you want your flower to look)
• a pair of scissors
• candle
• a pair of metal tweezers
Then, cut 2 squares of 2.25inch x 2.25inch each, and 1 square of 1.75inch x 1.75inch, from the side of a plastic pop bottle. Cut each resulted square into 4 different petals that are joined together at the middle, just like you would see in a real flower. You can draw the petals on the bottles before you cut, but be certain the markings don’t show on the flower, it looks awful. Also be careful not to cut yourself in the plastic petals. After this, with each petal heated above a lit candle, curl the gently melted edges with a pair of metal tweezers, until it will look like a natural curve flower supposed to have. Don’t take your time with this, because the plastic melts pretty fast. Also, keep the center of the flower as flat as possible, because you will glue to this piece the other layers that form the whole flower. Make some leaves by cutting from a green pop bottle. Use the heat-and-shape method described above to give it a little natural look as well. Assemble all the pieces with glue, so it will look like a real flower. Be creative with the final result.
